Our Team
The delivery of all our services is overseen by our Chief Executive Officer, Daisy Anderson. Daisy is responsible for the day to day running of the charity. She ensures that RASASC continues to provide an excellent level of service to our clients, while also identifying new services that may support our clients in their recovery.
Daisy has a background in mental health support and charity sector management, as well as being a qualified counsellor with experience in intense trauma. She is passionate about improving access to services that aid recovery and enhance healing for survivors.
Our counselling service is led by our Clinical Lead, Ruth. Ruth has been at RASASC since 2007 and is a qualified counsellor and assessor. Previously she was the counsellor at the Surrey Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), and is a trained Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA).
Ruth is supported by Nina, our Counselling Administrator and Davina, our Counselling Coordinator. They deal with all incoming counselling referrals, as well as liaising with those on the waiting list. They also oversee communications with both clients and counsellors, and ensure our counsellors have access to all the training and support they need.
Our team of Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) is led by Sally, herself a practicing ISVA for over ten years. Sally has a long background in working with victims of crime. Her team bring lots of experience to RASASC, including previous roles in domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation, counselling, the police, a paramedic and the crown court
Our team of ISVAs cover a range of client needs including young people from age 13, clients with mental health needs, LGBTQ+, physical and mental disabilities, male survivors, older people, and survivors from hard to reach and marginalised communities.
Our support line service is overseen by our Support Line Coordinator Liz. Liz used to volunteer on our helpline for four years, alongside holding a senior role in Asset Finance, managing high numbers of front line, customer facing staff. In this role she developed a wealth of experience in managing vulnerable people, and was responsible for the mental health and wellbeing of both customers and employees.
Liz also has experience in developing and delivering bespoke training on these topics, as well as being a qualified Hypnotherapist and Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner.
Liz is supported by three highly qualified supervisors, who work with our support line volunteers offering monthly supervision and ongoing support to aid their continued learning.
