Details of support services if you need help over Christmas and New Year

The RASASC office will be closed from 1pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 until Thursday 2 January 2025.
Our office will re-open at 9am on Thursday 2nd January. You can get in touch by calling us on 01483 568000 or emailing admin@rasasc-guildford.org.
Our
adult counselling service will also reopen to new referrals on Thursday 2 January 2025 at 10am
Support Services
We know the festive period isn't an easy time for everyone. If you are struggling and need support over Christmas, the following services are here to help:
- The national Sexual Abuse Support Line is open 24 hours a day seven days a week. Call them on 0808 500 2222
- The Samaritans are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call them free on 116 123.
- Mind have some tips and advice for the Christmas period for those struggling with their mental health and the pressures of Christmas
- CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) have some tips of how to get through Christmas if you’re feeling anxious, as well as a suicide prevention helpline that's open 365 days a year from 5pm - midnight - 0800 58 58 58
- There are five Safe Havens across Surrey, in Aldershot, Epsom, Guildford, Redhill and Woking, offering out of hours mental health help and support for people experiencing a mental health crisis. The centres are open from 6-11pm, 365 days a year. Each centre also offers a virtual Safe Haven service so you can access support without leaving home. - There are self help guides on our website that can help with flashbacks, grounding, nightmares and panic attacks
- And our Linktree contains lots of useful links to services and information that can help
