Our team of five; Andy, Nathalie, Adam, Chris and Eleanor are all taking on the half marathon on Sunday, 4 September to raise funds and awareness to help support survivors of rape and sexual abuse across Surrey.
And this year, Team RASASC contains not one, but two pairs of siblings, brothers Andy and Chris, and brother and sister team Adam and Eleanor!
Andy, a partner at Replay Golf in Windlesham, is taking on the challenge to raise awareness for RASASC, and to see if he can beat big brother Chris, who took on the challenge for RASASC in 2021!
Sponsor Andy through his fundraising page.
Chris, Andy’s brother is returning to support RASASC thanks to a family connection that works for the charity.
He’s hoping to beat last years’ time of two hours and three minutes and complete the half marathon course in under two hours.
Good luck Chris! Sponsor him here.
Our next sibling pairing are Adam and Eleanor. 47-year-old Adam said: “I wanted to give a charity that's local to me some recognition and support. I think it’s wonderful that there’s an organisation like RASASC that offers help and support for people suffering intense trauma.”
You can show support for Adam by sponsoring him through his JustGiving page.
Sister Eleanor, is looking forward to running alongside her brother again, like they used to when they ran together at Haslemere Border Athletics Club. She said: “RASASC is a cause hugely worth supporting. I am aiming to complete the Big Half in two and a half hours as I think it will be hot, and Adam and I will be chatting!"
And our final runner Nathalie said “This is an incredible opportunity to support a cause that is truly close to my heart, while also allowing me to partake in the two things I am most passionate about: advocacy and running!
Thank you to RASASC for taking me on board, I will do everything I can between now and the day of the race to raise both funds and awareness.” You can sponsor Nathalie here.
A huge thank you to all five of our incredible Team RASASC runners for taking on The Big Half in support of RASASC. We know all the hard work and training that goes into getting you to the starting line - as well as over it, and your amazing fundraising will ensure we can support even more survivors of rape and sexual abuse across Surrey.
Thank you.
