Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week
This week (7-13 February) is Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week. To mark this, we’re sharing facts all week on social media about RASASC and the services we provide:
- Our services aren’t just for women, we support anyone over the age of 13 across Surrey who has been raped, sexually abused or had an unwanted sexual experience.
- We will support you regardless of whether you go to the police. Whether you decide to report or not is your choice. We are here to support and advise you and help ensure your safety.
- We will support you if the rape or abuse was recent, non recent or childhood sexual abuse.
- 2022 marks our 30th birthday. We have 30 years of experience working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
- Our helpline staff and qualified counsellors are all specially trained volunteers
- Due to coronavirus we adapted all our services to operate remotely, ensuring we could still be there for those that need us.
- Did you know we offer support to families of survivors as well as the survivor themselves?
We support survivors of all genders over the age of 13 from across Surrey, who have been raped, sexually abused or have had an unwanted sexual experience. If you need to get in touch, visit our get support page for details of how to access our services.
You can find us on Facebook at @RASASCGuildford, and on Twitter at @HelpRASASC
