RASASC CEO to take on the London Landmarks Half Marathon!
RASASC CEO Daisy Anderson is taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April

Daisy Anderson, RASASC’s CEO is taking to the streets of London next month, to take on the London Landmarks Half Marathon.
We caught up with her to see what lead to this decision and how training is going:
So why have you decided to take on the London Landmarks Half Marathon for RASASC?
“Soon after I joined RASASC last year, I took part in the RASASC cheer team for the London Landmarks, cheering on our runners in the 2023 event. I was so impressed and profoundly moved by everyone running in support of RASASC, that when the opportunity came to take part this year, I felt it was the least I could do to support and acknowledge all of our volunteers and clients and to continue to raise awareness of our services.
“Services such as ours are facing pressure from increased referral demands so it’s vital we help raise awareness and support through events like this, so we can continue to offer our desperately needed services to those that need us.”
Have you done anything like this before?
“No! I’ve never done anything like a half marathon at all! I have had small phases of running in the past, but I’ve never been able to run more than 20 minutes at a time or for very far, so this is a huge personal challenge!”
Have you got a time in mind, or anything you’d like to achieve?
“My main ambition is to run the entire course. I think it will take me around three hours. I’m not too worried about my time, but I will be delighted if I can run the whole way, and that’s what I’m aiming for.
“The opportunity to do this for RASASC and to help raise awareness of who we are and what we do, was too good to miss, so I’m really hoping the atmosphere and the crowd on the day will help to carry me along!”
Have you got anyone coming along to support you on the day?
“My friends and family will be coming down to cheer me on, and no doubt the RASASC volunteers will raise a cheer as I pass through!
Good luck Daisy, and thank you for taking on this incredible challenge for RASASC!
